Hull FC have been linked with a move for BuretaFaraimo ahead of the forthcoming campaign despite their recent mixed results.

Hull KR have also been linked with moves for new players even as there is still a lot to play for this year.

Faraimo is a USA international that features for the New Zealand Warriors. He used to play for Parramatta Eels from 2014 to 2016 but he could be the replacement for the outgoing MaheFonua. Paniliakos, the forgotten Greek football team

Paniliakos is a Greek team that was founded in 1968 by the coming together of four different teams namely Ethnikos, Iraklis, A.E.K., Apollon.

Due to poor results the team has gradually been relegated to the lower tier of Greek football.

Paniliakos has suffered a lot of financial problems during recent times, and this has prevented the team to participate in some championship.

Paniliakos did not take part in the 2015 tournament because of lack of players as well as funding. Although discussions have been taken place with various stakeholders, the Paniliakos management has yet to find a suitable suitor for the club.

The most recent discussion has been with a Cephalonia businessman who wanted to invest in the club. However, after long talks with the Town mayor, the project did not happen, and it was back to square one for the Pyrgos team.

Paniliakos has not always been in trouble. There was a time where they were performing quite well especially when coach and player Juan Ramon Rocha was at the head of the club. Among notable players that have played for Paniliakos, you have PredragĐorđević, Stelios Giannakopoulos and VassilisLakis.      Continue reading Paniliakos, the forgotten Greek football team

Crystal Palace have been boosted by the return of James McArthur

Crystal Palace have been boosted by the return of James McArthur much earlier than expected.

The Scotland international has not played for the club since suffering a tear to his ankle ligaments at the start of February. Since he is one of the important players for Palace, this was seen as a major blow to the club’s hopes of avoiding a relegation battle throughout the 2015-16 campaign. It was initially thought that the player will miss the rest of the season. However, he has made remarkable progress from the injury and could now be back in the first-team reckoning before the FA Cup semi-final against Watford.

Palace have a great opportunity to do something special in the FA Cup this season. The tie between Watford gives both teams enough opportunities to think about a place in the final. Winner of this game will be playing against either Everton or the winner between the Manchester United vs West Ham replay. Without the competitive nature of McArthur in the midfield, Palace have been slowly slipping down the table. They have not won a league match in 2016 and this form sees them just one place above the relegation zone. They have an even smaller buffer of seven points from Sunderland in the 18th place.
