ALLARDYCE WANTS JARVIS

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has managed to bring in the Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Matt Jarvis in a deal that could become the record for the club. The former Gillingham winger has arrived at the club in a deal worth around £ 10.75 million. The 26-year-old England international has been subject to transfer rumours in the last few months after the relegation of his club from the Premier league. However, West Ham United have been the first club to show concrete interest in the player. Only a few days remains in the transfer window and the Premier league club has secured his signing.

The club will be paying only £ 7.5 million up front for the player, with the rest coming in performance related bonuses. Wolverhampton Wanderers are also set to lose striker Steven Fletcher in a deal worth up to £ 14 million after they agreed the fee with Sunderland. The player has said that he is extremely delighted to join a club like West Ham. Sam Allardyce has been known to get the best out of set pieces. The arrival of Matt Jarvis is the perfect signing for him because he will be able to provide in the crosses.

“I’m delighted to have signed. Hopefully I will add a bit of pace, crossing and deliveries that will provide some assists. I’ll be playing with some fantastic players and it’ll be great to get into training. It’ll be straight in and hit the ground running. There’s no time to think about it: you’ve got to get on with it. I hope to train with the team today and then travel up to Swansea,” said the new West Ham signing Matt Jarvis on the official website of the club. Sam Allardyce will be hoping to include this new signing for the match against Swansea.
